Find a Jewelry Appraiser

Updated: Dec 5

Given the volatility in today's precious metals and gemstone markets, the higher the value of your jewelry, the more often updates are needed. If it’s been three years since your last jewelry appraisal, we recommend that you have your collection appraised as soon as possible so that your most valued objects—and assets—are protected.

You can find highly qualified appraisal services in two recommended ways:

  • Contact Acacia Insurance for a referral to a local jeweler/gemologist

  • Directly through Chubb's appraisal service referral program

Once appraised and insured, Chubb will pay up to 150 percent of the amount itemized on your policy if the market value of the item exceeds the amount of coverage.

Have questions about protecting your collection?

While you may not want to think about a prized possession being stolen, damaged or lost, in reality these things happen all too often. Whether you own fine art, jewelry, antiques or even classic cars, having a current appraisal is an important part of owning valuable items.

As an Acacia Insurance client, you can call for a free referral to a qualified jewelry professional. Furthermore, Chubb maintains national relationships with jewelers, safe companies, appraisers, and auction houses, and can connect you with best-in-class vendors.

An appraisal provides the necessary documentation to substantiate the existence, condition, and value of your collection for insurance purposes or otherwise.

Acacia Insurance has been helping to make the unexpected uneventful since 1988, and we look forward to working with you. Please contact us with questions and for additional information.
